It's been a very interesting time for Anstey so far this year. Her career, personality and personal life have been thrown out there and to everyone's surprise, even her own, they have literally created dynamite.
She is the girl from South London with a cheek and spontaneous humour that's making her a huge hit with viewers across all ages. With a very individual look, this girl is unique, warm and downright funny. Anstey's honesty and warmness allows viewers and guests to feel like they're having a chat with their best friend.
With well over 1000 hours of live experience, Anstey has worked for many channels including Nickelodeon, BBC3, The American Life Channel (USA), Trouble TV, The Discovery Channel, The National Geographic Channel, Telecoms TV and on more than 3 interactive Shows.
In 2006, Anstey become the face of Virgin Mobile. This opportunity made her the first ever presenter to work via this medium in Europe. Anstey was exclusively reporting for Virgin at V festival 2006 interviewing all of the Celebrity's, bands and the man himself Sir Richard Branson, an interview subsequently quoted in various national newspapers. She has been seen presenting bite size boredom busters on every Virgin Phone ever since.
Anstey is also hosting again at V Festival 2007.
Readers of Digital Spy also voted her to be the next presenter of Big Brother in 2006, and previously Anstey was the winner of the Nickelodeon Nick Pick Vote to be the next Nickelodeon Presenter in 2005.
This year she created 'Stand Up to Stop Suicide' a charity comedy event that will now become annual in London, Manchester and Liverpool. In 2005, Anstey had to deal with the suicide of someone very close to her. This experience led her to realise that all things make her the person she is today. Her loss led her to become actively involved with The Campaign Against Living Miserably a new exciting men's mental health charity. Realising that there was serious lack of funding for the charity, Anstey took the initiative and planned to raise much needed funds. The event, sponsored by Metro Newspaper, has received overwhelming response attracting the services of David Baddiel, Stephen Merchant, Simon Anstell, Mark Gattis and companies such as Ogilvy and Mather whom created all the artwork and Tullo Marshall Warren whom are looking after the PR. This year's event will also be available as a limited Edition with talks about the event being aired on national television next year.
Further to the comedy event, Anstey is currently working on an exclusive music download project for the cause called www.strongnotsilentmusic.com. The aim is to raise funds with music donated to the site and with gigs and a huge live music, dance show extravaganza in the pipeline too it's all very exciting.
It is with all this experience that Anstey now plans to move a head and become a strong role model for men and women alike. Anstey has the gift of getting people to tell her anything, like some kind of 'secret friend'. She has a purpose and intent and she's not scared to use it.
Concerned with the content of many TV talk shows and their exploitative content,
Anstey created Purpose Productions. With her own production company set up Anstey and her team are currently developing ideas and formats that educate; invigorate, challenge audiences perceptions. Current projects include work with Creamfields, C.a.l.m and You Tube.
Anstey is also currently finishing her first novel and hopes to do more writing in the near future. She also has a passion for higher consciousness studies and uncovering the potential of the human mind. She is studying all of this alongside Bikram Yoga for her own personal success development. She is also trying to learn French, bonjour!
