After completing a Masters Degree in English Literature, Peyton spent three years working as a professor of World Literature at the Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia. Upon returning to New York to pursue his writing and music career, Peyton worked as a waiter and bar manager in some of Manhattan and eventually London's hippest restaurants (First, Grange Hall, Dakota, 192, Alistair Little to name but a few). In 2001 he teamed up with French chef Arnaud Berrabia to design a stylish and innovative catering and events service,
2SH, which now regularly provides bespoke catering for designers Oswald Boateng, Gibo and Alice Temperley, as well as for large corporate events such as the Jerry Springer Opera launch.
Over the past two years Peyton has organised, developed and hosted a variety of very successful live music events under the umbrella of
PeytonPresents, all of which have been designed to give undiscovered artists a platform to perform while allowing agents, managers, and A&R scouts to source out the best talent on London's underground live music scene. Peyton also performs at these events, in addition to writing and co-producing his own music. He is currently signed to the British dance label
Hed Kandi, and his first single, "
Higher Place" was a smash chart-topping hit and has become an anthem on dance floors around the world. He has recently finished recording his debut album, produced by legendary
Eric Kupper, and is preparing to release a second single this autumn with world-wide release of the full album now scheduled for January, 2005.
Peyton currently appears on QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY UK now working on series 2, as the Food & Wine Presenter for Living TV/ NBC/ Scout.
